We currently have a 10 minute radio program sponsored in part by World Radio Gospel Broadcasts. It goes on the air at 8:30 every morning and has been and continues to be a blessing. Over ½ of our 24 conversions last year came indirectly from that program. I say indirectly because we make contacts through the program but we still have a lot of teaching to do.

Tiago, pictured above on the left heard us on the radio last year. He came to our School of the Bible and participated in a series of classes called Let the Bible Speak taught by two of our students from our ministry training school, Adriano [pictured in the very front of the first group picture] and Joadson, who is working for the Lord in Maceió now. Tiago found what he was looking for. He found Jesus. He heard the truth. He turned his life over to the Lord by being baptized.

Soon his fiancée, his mother, his aunt, his sister and his brother-in-law were baptized as well. [All in the bottom group picture.] Adriano, who has since graduated from EBNESR, is now working in Candeias, where Tiago and his family live. He is establishing a congregation in this neighborhood which is about 30 minutes to the South of us. What a blessing!

However, what if? What if there were no churches to support us and EBNESR? What if there was no World Radio Gospel Broadcast? What if there was no one like Adriano being used by the Lord to do His work? What if there was no one like Tiago with an open heart for the good news of Jesus? Because of these ministries, Tiago is not only a follower of Christ but he is now one of our students training for greater ministry.
